well my average is about 34 but that includes all my lead foot accelerations. Here is a video of me using cruise control at 50mph. Now in this video its only bouncing between 40-50mpg because I'm driving on a destroyed road, that needs to be repaved. Thats what all the shaking is.

The display is a little optimistic on my xD... But I keep track of every fill up on Fuelly.com. 199 fill-ups so far. My average is 34.9 MPG, but that includes a lot of trailer towing. I usually get 22-24 MPG towing my camper, and 28-34 MPG towing my cargo trailer (depending a lot on what is in it). I also have a roof rack and often have my bicycle up there. That certainly kills the MPG.

The "instant" MPG display is just about useless. Give us a shot of the average MPG, then subtract about 2 MPG from that for a more accurate representation.

well my average is about 32-34mpg. which is still great. I just thought it was cool that the instant is showing 55mpg. Now i dont know how accurate that is but what ev. I do have a really bad lead foot so thats why i always drive with cruise control, but that doesnt help with my accelerations.
