ee the fruits of our laborious never ending quest for smaller, more amazing R/C copters. The Mighty Atom is one small copter, but size is not enough to please the discerning pilots at ThinkGeek... It has a metal alloy-body along with 3-channel control AND a built in gyro. What does this mean? Welp you have yourself here the smallest highest-tech most amazing r/c copter yet. Yes. You asked for the future and here it is!
This next generation copter features an all metal body and built in solid state accelerometer (just like the iPhone). What good is a gyro you say? Well young captain, you may recall that all R/C helicopters require trimming to make sure they don't corkscrew or rotate right and left in the air. This Metal Gyro copter uses it's accelerometer to stay locked on whatever direction it's facing. When you rotate right or left in the air it moves incredibly precisely and stops instantly. What this means is that we've just upped the ante for the tiniest most controllable small copter ever.
- Impossibly small R/C copter features metal body construction and a solid state accelerometer for precise control
- Precision control and turning thanks to accelerometer
- Three channel control gives you fully proportional up/down, right/left and forward/backward control
- Metal alloy body and support struts
- Choose from three different channels and fly with a friend
- Dual counter-rotating blades give incredible hovering and stability
- Helicopter Charges via USB or from Remote
- 5 Minute fly time, 10 minute charge time
- Increased internal Li battery capacity for more power
- Remote requires 6 AA batteries (not included)
- Copter is approx. 4.5" length with a top blade diameter of 4.25"
I like the little Atom cause it could be stored in my backpack for those days when I'm stuck on the side of the road in the ambulance. Plus after doing some searching their are ton of these mini helicopters in the $60 range but none as small as the Atom.
