I'm really diggin' this car, could make a good replacement for the xD....

2012 Veloster features Hyundai’s 1.6L GDI engine
-1.6L four-cylinder engine
-40 mpg
-138 horsepower at 6.300 rpm
-maximum torque of 123 lb.-ft. at 4,850 rpm
-curb weight for M/T 2,584
-base-price is rumored to be ~17k and ~22k fully loaded
-also rumored that hyundai will release a turbocharged version next year with 208 hp

Depending on how the turbo version is priced this will probably replace the xD...kinda sad when Hyundai is outperforming Toyota.

im diggin it. reminds me of the m roadster.. i would get into this but ii think im already far with my d to start over. and i just noticed its a 3door. thats hot. i still will be with toyota. but the moment i find out this hyundai is a 6spd. ii wld be blown lol

hp. curb weight. redline.. seems to be just about the same.

im sure this car will have aftermarket support as well.

I think it looks good. It's lighter than the XD, but I don't like the center console. It looks like you have less knee wiggle room. It reminds me of a mix between Volvo C30 back and Ford Fiesta front. The third door throws me off abit.

i really don't like this car. if it had a Gencoupe style nose, all the swoops and fake ducts and creases might look better. it's still missing a door too. Or there's 1 too many...

I really love this car and it tempts me...but I don't understand that extra door either. I think they should have at least put it on the driver's side, that would have been more convenient...?

not even. i wouldnt want ppl going in nd out of my side of the car if it means me getn out lol. but yea it doesnt look that bad but an overall its not much different from the xd as far as power goes. but one flaw that ima point out about scion is that it doesnt come with sunroof...

They make aftermarket rag top sunroofs. I was looking into it and I figured about 1k-1.5k with installation. Not worth it in my opinion though
