These CAI (Cold Air Intake) systems can be made in a SRI (Short Ram Intake) system as well.

These prices are too low for me to list, so please PM me on here. Thanks!

Do you have any photos of an actual installation in an xd?

If so could you post them?

I have been searching everywhere and have not been able to find any pictures of it installed. I will keep searching and see if I come up with anything.

Default Awesome
Thank You so much. Do you have it on the road yet? What is your initial impression? Did you have to fab anything for the install? Where will the air inlet be?

Again Awesome photos and thank you. I am really interested in this install.

In my personal opinion I have the Injen on my xB for about 5 years and never had a problem with it. I have had to change the filter once to an upgraded dry filter.

Do you get the same HP and Trq gains with the short ram setup?

The sound is amazing, I'm extremely happy with that. As for power gains, I felt a very slight difference at higher rpms only. I think you will have no problem installing it *unless* you order the black one. The MAF won't fit probably due to the black finish paint, so you have to sand down the interior of the hole. Then with a little Vaseline you can sqeeze it in there. Several people had that problem and after they sanded it down it was fine. If you order the polished one you'll have no issues.

Thanks for the reply!

Has your mpg improved? I your opinion is it possible to use the fog light opening for an air inlet?

I bought the TRD air filter and it made a huge difference in engine sound. The engine sounds like a Cosworth now!

I believe I did gain some mpg's, but I can't say for sure since my roof rack arrived shortly after. I'm still averaging 30-32 in a mix of city/highway, and this is with rims, drop, and a roof rack.

As for the hole in the fog light opening, I don't see why not but wouldn't look too pretty imo. I think it gets decent air flow where it is now really.

I have a first gen XB and there wasn't much of a change in numbers between short ram and full CAI.

Last time I ran on a dyno the car was at 110 HP with headers, intake and exhaust.
