Opinions on the Cobra XRS 9960G.

I know it is not a V1 or 9500 Series but I'm not looking to pay $500 for a radar detector either. Reviews seems to put this unit as the next best thing even though the actual detection range is kind of poor. I was just wondering could someone here give me some feedback on the Cobra unit if they or someone they know owns one.

if you dont care about range then what is the point of a radar detector? cobra usually makes crappy stuff.

the V1's are really cheap now compared to what they used to be, im thinking of selling my 9500i and getting a V1 lol.

What I mean i the range of the 9960 is not the same a V1 but it is still above the lower end units.
