Our hood isn't a dry carbon hood...just your standard one from them. We should've asked for one! We just put the xD on the dyno at the Greddy facility and we produced 119 horsepower to the wheels with only the TRD filter, bolt on headers and cat back exhaust. Not bad. We're going to be developing the engine i think.
Thanks on the CBF fenders. We are not going to use them...at least not yet. Our fenders (only set) have some body work done to them and they want to keep the aggressive look for now. The car is now getting some engine development. We'll be releases pics this week.
RallyXD are you guys thinking about going forced induction? It would be pretty cool! The XD is starving for aftermarket support. Bemani makes a rotrex kit, but it's only available overseas for the Yaris TS (same chasis and 2zr-fe).
.....just got a memo. The race car hasn't left Greddy's R&D dept since it was there for the dyno. I'll post up an image of some "piping." Let me know what you think.
Its quick for what it is especially for 119hp. I run mines a few times and even surprise myself that I won. The lack of aftermarket support is still whack. Im hoping to finish paying my car off by the end of the year. Then debate to motor swap or get another car most likely back to my turbo volvos lol
First shots of the new turbo upgrade on the Rally xD by Greddy performance. More develops to come. More images will be available online on the team site asap.
Right now due to the rush and lack of time, the kit is being made custom. There is talk in make a production version if enough interest comes from it. Right now word is that the turbo will be "de-tuned" heavily w/ restrictors to keep the power down and allow the turbo and piggy back ecu system to work w/o any problems with the bone stock engine/pistons/etc. On rally race stages, the xD needs just a little push to get out of the slower turns to get back up to speed. Also keeping the turbo restricted will help to keep the heat and stress low keep serviceability and reliability high. We'll see..will update again soon.
If "you" wanted a kit...how much horsepower would you ideally want?
