The doors and antenna are shaved. However, the side doors need more work to smooth them out perfectly. But we were tired of the primer patches. The car is a LOW GLOSS black Kinda like a satin finish and the grills and side mirrors are painted as well. They were just some rattle can my buddy had in his warehouse. We were experimenting with the colors to see which looked better.
I have not tinted the tails but the red tails and red bumper reflectors really pop now that the back is black.
I am debating retinting the headlights and tinting the tails. Also planning on painting the wheels blue to match.
This was more of a temporary paint job to cover the primer patches. we didnt get the door jambs or under hood or anything.
Once I fix the rear door and bumper from an accident we will have the car repainted completely. Will be doing final paint hopefully next year after I fix it and get my tax money.
As for the 1st gen in the backround. That is my buddy Crab's Chop Box. He is the one who painted my car It has been chopped and the rear moved forward to make it like a mini truck. He has put some time into finishing it and getting it cleaned up. He actually got it from some others who did the chop and the finish work was crappy.
now you just need set of badass wheels *hint hint* :P
satin looks good, i was just about to ask if you had gotten a chance to fix up the rear door yet. Coming along nicely though i've never been a fan of painted grills.. do love multi-color mirrors though.

Damn Resolve.......... That blue really "pops" against the satin black. Should look really bad a$$ with matching wheels. I wonder... could the tails be tinted a similar blue to get the same contrast from the rear?
The good thing about this forum... It gives a person a LOT of ideas and desires to go ape sh*& on their car.

With the shaved doors you have a solenoid that attaches to the latch mechanism inside the door and a normally a remote as stated that controls the solenoid.
my setup is a four door setup the control box is a seven function control box so I could control 3 additional functions with my remote if I wire the additional items to the control box. The remote has four buttons and each button controls a door. I don't have the "poppers" in the door jambs. I started to put one in when I got it and some stuff behind panel I was putting it on got in the way. I will get the on just need to work on it.
The "poppers" are normally small spring loaded bars that compress when the door is shut and when you hit the button to activate the solenoid the spring and bar pushes the door out past the latch. The are not needed to open the door though I normally put my finger beind the door and push the button and pull the door to open it.
