I want to replace my precat and cat with a high flow cat.
I have been searching, but cannot find any place that has a replacement down-pipe with the high flow cat already installed.
is there anyone that has successfully removed the pre-cat and installed a high-flow cat on this forum?
does anyone know where I can get the pipe with the cat already installed with the necessary O2 sensors and the antifouler bungs already on?
I'd sure like to get all the HP out and get the miles for my gallon of gas that is becoming again, high priced!
If anyne has any information on this, please let me know where/how I can get this done. Thanks!!!
Bobo, I havent seen any companies that makes them ready for install, BUT, you can hit up any muffler shop and get it done at a decent price. One of my buddies did this on his xD, along with the exhaust, came out real good and he only spent like $300 on it.
I put in a High-Flow but still get CEL after a few miles like regular, even with the CEL Fixer. I got the O2 SIM, but want to install it under-dash instead of under-car. I just don't know where the ECU is. Bit of a noob here. Also if anyone knows which of the wires to the ECU would be the last O2 Sensor and maybe what colors they are, I could put in the SIM module. The SIM seems to generate a lot of heat, as the mfg wants it mounted to a metal surface, using silicone heat transfer compound..... Anywayz, I'd appreciate any light you can throw on the subject to make the install a little easier for me. Thanks again, and Aloha from us over here !
According to my info, the O2 sensor (bank 1, sensor 2) should have a gray wire and a light green wire coming out of it. At a connector, the gray wire changes to pink and the light green changes to red. That's what you should find at the computer at locations 47 and 87.

I have ended up yanking the SIM out and installing a Strup CEL Elimator that is the "L" shaped type. If NE1 ever wants to install this, you'll have to DROP THE CAT PIPE AND BOTH HANGERS ON THE RESONATER in order to install the device. If you do as I recommend, then the Strup will JUST MAKE THE TURN when you screw it into the bung. They made it EXACTLY long enough to fit. It's hard to do it with just using Rhino Ramps, cause there is not enough room, but I was able to finish the install, and so far, it seems to have managed to elude the CEL and Catalytic PO420: "Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold" codes and others that were being thrown. Hopefully that's the end of my adventures with my cat.

The sound without any cats was a louder "dry" sound and not "nice" at all.... After the high flow cat was put in it got back to exactly the same as the stock setup with the stock muffler on. I have not yet put back the magnaflow, but I anticipate it to be the same as well.
