Default looking at new wheels
ok, i have the 18" black TRD wheels currently on my RS1. i'm gonna be changing that soon after i get it back from the bodyshop. i'm looking at a set of 16x8 SportMax XXR 002's on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-16x8-XXR-...sories&vxp=mtr

it says it has an offset of +0, is that factory? sorry, i don't know much about offset.

get ready to do loads of fenderwork to make it look good.

i was running 9.5 w/ 215/45/17 +31 offset , rolled fenders, and had wheel poke. you'll have a good half inch+ of poke more than what i was running.

edit: this is what 17x9+0 will be similar to (his specs are slightly more aggressive):

so what kind of offset would you recommend looking at for a 17x9? i dont want the poke like xdking has in the picture, but i do want a big lip on the wheel. would that wheel size work with a different offset so it wouldn't poke soo much?

i have BBS RS on the way 16x9 et21 for the rear. 2.5in lip. if my measurements are right that will put me close to where xDTool was in terms of poke.

17x9 +24 will put you exactly where i was at on 9.5 +31. +/- a couple mm wont hurt anything so +20 - +30 should all have similar fitment.

my fitment was spot on:

sounds about right, should be close fitment. with x8s you can go slightly lower, but +20 would be good fitment

i hope so. i thought they were +20 on the offset. but the +25 should still give a good fit. hopefully not too much poke and no rubbing issues

You are correct...My rims are the Axis Decades which are now discontinued...Even though they have the same offset the rear rims have what's called the Maxxis lip...The rear lip is huge which is what drew me towards them...
