The matching orange is way cool! Seems to fit right in there. Is it functional? I can't figure out it's purpose.

Well, when he (Jim from rogue7motorsports) approached me about making them for the xD, Todd had my car and was in the process of turbo'ing it...It would have been functional if the turbo project was a success because the turbo sat where the battery currently sits...Well since we all know what happened with my turbo project, I now just rock it merely for looks...It does bring outside air into the engine compartment and help cool things down...I have the Spectre air intake so any extra cooler air will help...Thats what I keep telling myself anyways...

Well, that explains it. Still a very nice piece, orange carbon fiber is so cool. There is a racing company that makes colored carbon fiber hoods for the tC, and xB, but not the xD yet. I forget the name of this company right now, but the orange looks nearly perfect on the RS xB I saw with the Hot Lava paint. I emailed them and they said there is no plans for our cars anytime soon, what a shame.

I will talk to him and have him come on over...No this is a protoype still...Although the fit and finish of this thing could almost pass for the final piece...I think he's still finalizing the shape of the scoop...Other than that, I think the next one I get may be it...

Hell yea, Jim rocks...Meet him in person...Easy going and very open to all kinds of suggestions...He makes some sick stuff...I think he's very timely, considering he does not even own a Scion and we have to mail stuff back and forth...He's very picky and wants this scoop to be PERFECT...Can't say enough good stuff about him...
