I added a hitch & trailer wiring at the same time I did the Reflector/LED swap. Didn't want to splice into the vehicle wiring so I added a plug in splitter onto the trailer wiring. Then I cut one of the plug in 4 wire splitter ends off & used the splitter wiring to splice into for the LEDs. I did have to add one splice into the backup light though to get power to the white LEDs.

I also added a reflective strip of tape between the LEDs as I didn't want to lose some reflectivity for when the lights are off.

All in all it was an easy mod which I like a lot & which adds a measure of safety.
