Yeah. You have to take the original film off of the display first. Believe me, it is there on the face. Then you have to figure out which side of the new film has the glue and the backing. Temporarily, without peeling it off, put the backing side of the film on the face of the display. In one orientation the display will not seem to change, in the other, turned 90 degrees, the display will appear dark. When the display is dark , the background will be dark and the info light, when the display is light, the background will be light and the info dark. It will make more sense once you start playing with it.
Obviously, if you are trying to reverse the display it will look different after you put the film on than it did before you started.
