anyone running a tires with spring like this.

anyone running a tires of 225/40/18 with rims of 18x8 +38
into Tanabe DF210? or which spring better to use?

im running that tire and wheel set up on Tein S-Techs. they are actually a lil lower than the DFs

well my wheels are 18x7.5

kervin2004 03-11-2012 11:34 AM

really.. i wonder how low is it???

cause tanabe i love the way tanabe low..
but if tei s-techs is lower that should be great.

do you mind post a pic of your D?

and do you think its fine for my 18x8?

this is how mine sits with the Tein S-Techs with 18s on 225/40s. i have a lil issue with rubbing on the front but nothing major.

im actually wanting to get rid of mine and go with some 17x9s. i want to have a lil more lip

thats how i love. :)
for some reason i thought you said you getting rid of your spring hehehe
no issue rubbing at the back right?
just in the front everytime you take turn?
fender rolling will solve?

BTW in this low did you change your shock???
or its still the same one the stuck shock?
how long you been driving it

well, i've had my car a year this month. ive had the s-techs on there about 6 months i guess. no rubbing on the back at all. at first, it was rubbing on the inner fender liner when i first put the springs on. i had TRDs when i got the car, but it wasn't low enough. i cut out the parts of the fender liner that i was rubbing and it cleared up rubbing issues. now, my passenger side will rub sometimes when i cut it hard to the left. i dont think a fender roll will fix the rubbing on the front. it doesnt rub the actual fenders, just the liner. at first it was when i would hit a bump or come off a dip. now its just when i turn. ive pretty much ripped out or rubbed out any part of the plastic i was rubbing.

i am still running stock shocks. figure i will til they need to be replaced, then i will go with some shorter ones.

im hoping the 17's with the right offset, will give me a lil more clearance and a hair bit more low. :)

lol it really doesnt affect anything. i had to because my current tires were just too big for the drop i had it at. rubbed all day. the only annoyance is that driving on wet roads makes wet road grime go up and it goes out around my headlight housings, so i have to wipe that off all the time. nothing major.
