Hello, new member here.

I recently traded in my 1st gen xB for a blizzard pearl xD.

I hope to have it bagged and stanced by spring so hopefully this will become a build thread soon :)

xd king 02-20-2012 07:54 PM

yeah more stanced xD's is what this world needs, welcome to the forum, anything you need just ask

dminner 02-20-2012 08:45 PM

Yeah, I really havent seen many.

Im working on piecing together an air setup now. I learned a lot from the air ride I had on my xB so I know what I want this time. (Speaking of which, if anyone is looking for a set of used coilovers I have a set of tein basics I will not be using. I was planning on bagging them but I cant fit aerosport bags over the diameter of the teins).

Just for fun, here was the stance on my old xB.

wow, Dan for real? yea, I still got mine

dminner 02-22-2012 11:02 AM

yep for real :)

Thought about getting a 2nd gen xB, but I kinda wanted a change so I went with the xD.

Stock front with five axis kit

dminner 03-09-2012 09:32 PM

I am going with a different style than most xD guys go with.

With the pearl white I am going to try a sport luxury look.

Just got my wheels. Holstens (Audi a8 style wheels) that were fully stripped and polished. I have never had a set of fully polished wheels before. Hopefully the upkeep doesnt drive me insane.

Going to do a little more work to them before they go on though. I want to paint the windows black and tweak a couple more things.

xd king 03-10-2012 07:03 AM

oh man i cant wait to see those wheels on and layin 5axis kit on air

dminner 03-26-2012 09:20 AM

Got a little work done this weekend.

Blacked out the windows on two of the wheels. Two more to go.

KylexD 03-26-2012 11:10 AM

Damn that dropped B is so sexy!!

ThisorThatxD 03-26-2012 12:08 PM

damn this xD is going to be nice lol. i prefer static myself but im all for proper xD's rolling around.

specs on the wheels?

dminner 03-26-2012 12:44 PM

Thanks guys.

Yeah, I might actually run static this season now. The ride quality of the tein basics is so nice. I might remove the remaining perches though. The air instal on my xB took me all winter and I don't want to rush this one.

The wheels aren't super aggressive, but I will space them out accordingly. They are 18x8 +30 (I think) with 205/40s on them.

I am debating wheter or not to also paint the out part of the centercaps black. It will make them look a little more sporty.

ThisorThatxD 03-26-2012 01:45 PM

since you have the 5axis idk what kind of clearances you have for moar low. i know i couldnt do a lip without killing it now lol, and ive removed about everything to get as low as i can on my c8sports.

hope the 18's let you at least run flush. as for painting the centers black im on the fence too. i mean my rs' center caps are black so i know itll look good. i think keeping it all polished will make it cleaner though. the window black was a good call.

Yeah they actually arent fully polsihed though. I am just tricking your eyes because the centercaps are plastic and they are currently painted silver.

Yeah, the good thing about a urethane lip is I can scrape without breaking it :)

ah ok so like mine. the faces are silver, lips and caps are polished save for the BBS logo's.

instead of lip i opted for smaller wheels so i could just ruin my frame on speedbumps lol.

dminner 03-28-2012 07:45 PM

Woohoo, 3 down. 1 more to go and then they need a good, final polishing

Got a big install list for the weekend. Hopefully, it is successful and I will have new car pics on Sunday.

jester4666 03-28-2012 07:51 PM

looking good. can't wait to see it assembled

looking good. liking the IST badging too...i just can't justify the $100 for the badges.

xDizzle 04-02-2012 07:23 AM

^^^just rock 2 toyota badges that's what I'm doing it's much cheaper

1sweetxd 04-02-2012 07:34 AM

very nice! i like it. so those are 18's correct? what suspension are you on? is that springs or coilovers? very nice look though.

dminner 04-02-2012 08:08 AM

Thanks guys.

Yeah they are 18s. Kinda just temporary wheels. I like them, but I don't love them so I will just keep them until I find something I like better.

I have tein basic coilovers. Fronts are all the way down. Rears are all the way down with one perch removed.

the hood emblem doesn't represent the I in Ist. It represents the Toyota dealers under the Netz marquee. If the funds are there Dan RSR has normal springs that go lower

dminner 04-02-2012 11:24 AM

That go lower than the basics without perches?

It has been so long I don't even know who to go thru for JDM parts anymore...

1sweetxd 04-02-2012 05:16 PM

do you have any issues with rubbing at all? i am running 18s on mine but with 225/40. im riding on tein s-techs springs. you look a decent bit lower than me and i rub on the front. especially when i come down off of dips or big bumps. ive had to cut out a big portion of the inner fender liner so that it doesnt hit my tire anymore. it still will from time to time and it rubs a little bit on the passenger side when im at a full right turn. :/

i would like to bring my rear down a lil bit. but i really like the stance of yours!

dminner 04-02-2012 06:20 PM

I have never rubbed at all. I don't even have my fenders rolled yet. I actually plan on spacing the front and rear more.

Are yours 18x8? If so, try a set of 205/40s or 215/40 falkens (falkens run small)

1sweetxd 04-03-2012 07:08 AM

mine are actually 18x7.5 i will possibly look into a different size tire when i need to replace these. im actually kinda trying to sell these cause i have my eye on some 17x9s that i would really want

KylexD 04-03-2012 11:33 AM

Where did you get the IST badges?

Phobic 04-03-2012 12:17 PM

love those wheels. very nice looking xD.

dminner 04-03-2012 12:46 PM

Got the badging from myautofashion.

Actually, the wheels are kinda temporary, I have my eyes on something else :)

Phobic 04-03-2012 12:48 PM

well, let me know a price if you're selling them. I'll see if I can swing it.

I wish you weren't so far...I bet shipping will be crazy...but I can look into it if you want...pm me if you might be interested.

KylexD 04-03-2012 01:15 PM

How did you get both badges in black?

dminner 04-03-2012 01:17 PM

In black? They are just the standard badges. The rear is chrome and the front is chrome and dark grey.
